What makes The Cowboy different?
“We hope to educate listeners by helping them learn something about the many great singers that put the country into true country music.” Listeners will hear information such as, the life history and personal stories of certain artists, dates of when certain songs were recognized on the charts, song that didn’t make the charts, live interviews with some of the artists and “we have included a show that stands to touch the imagination of young and old alike”. Yester- year-Radio brings stories like “The Lone Ranger, Dragnet and many others back to their beginning on the radio.
“The Cowboy” also believes in helping to educate our youth, currently, we are striving to become a learning center for some of the youth in the Hill Country. These programs will give local teenagers an opportunity to get hands on experience in the radio broadcasting industry.
“We are a non-profit radio station committed to helping our community in anyway we can.”
